Need Urgent care but don’t want to pay ER prizes?

We’ve all been there, an emergency that’s not a true emergency, a constant cough that all of a sudden doesn’t let  you sleep, on a Friday night. Life happens, things happen and if your life is anything like mine they always seem to happen on the weekends or after hours. And after a few close calls I know I’m not the only one that doesn’t want to pay $500 only to pick up some new germs from an emergency room. Not only that, I have taking up space and precious time from people who actually have emergencies.

Park & Zoom: the best parking spot at the Austin Airport!!

I’m always running late, like always. People that know me will tell me things start a solid 30 minutes before, so I can arrive on time. I think is a Costa Rican thing, maybe we like to make an entrance, haha. So you can see why traveling can be pretty interesting in our household. My mom packs and repacks and gets ready weeks before she travels. I’m more of a ball up everything and hope for the best. More like, can’t put my shoes back on because and have to run barefoot to the terminal after passing TSA. Yeah, you’ve seen my kind and probably shoot your head in disapproval, you know my mom has!

So, to me having to park and wait for a shuttle is horrible. Most extended parking spots are super far from the airport, so you have to account for traffic, lights and having to pick up lots of other people. Ugh, it’s always such a pain! And the same happens on the way back, wait ages for the shuttle to get there and then again until they pick up lots of people. Incredibly inconvenient! But not anymore, I just discovered an amazing choice and I can’t tell you how happy I am about it! Enter Park & Zoom…

Park & Zoom is right there in the airport, so the Zoom in their name is true. They personally greet you and they are seriously friendly and welcoming. They let you know what aisle has an empty parking space. By the time we got off the car the shuttle was right there, no waiting at all. Super nice and friendly staff helped us with our bags and gave us a card to remember our spot.

Prefer Valet parking? It’s only $12.95 per day. And we witnessed three attendants, yes three helping the valet customer to make sure he had an amazing and speedy transaction. You can check flight times on their ABIA flat screen as you get on their VIP Valet shuttle, which runs every 3 to 5 minutes—Zoom. Have an electric car? Valet customers, charge up with one of their free EV chargers while you’re away!

Join the ZoomClub & earn free parking!

Plus, they give back. Park&Zoom is donating $1 to local charities for each of the first 15,000 ZoomClub members who sign up. The charities are:

Car care while you’re away; yes you are not just parking you can come back to a sparkling clean car. So if you happen to leave a bag with the left over breakfast tacos you indulged on, you wont come back to maggots in your car’s carpets. eeekkk! Texas heat people, Texas heat! They also offer these other services:

  • Oil & filter change
  • Windshield chip repair
  • Dry cleaning

Make you to check them out next time you travel. I promise you will never go back to regular far away parking spots! And to make it even sweeter here’s a 10% off coupon! You’re welcome! l

Giveaway: 9/11 Film Charlie Sheen Autographed Poster and Gift Pack

Everyone has a 9/11 Story. I was actually at the USA Consulate in Costa Rica, and stood in shock along with everyone in the building, it was incredibly sad and it’s certainly a day no one will ever forget.

We would like to introduce you to an awe-inspiring film starring Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg titled 9/11, based on the original play, The Elevator, that centers on the events of September 11, 2001.
No matter who you are or where you were, that moment and the aftermath is indelibly etched in everyone’s mind.

The film 9/11 is based on a true story and chronicles the lives of five average, everyday people who find themselves trapped in an elevator during the events of 9/11 in the World Trade Center.

I’d love to hear how you were impacted by the event and where you were. Is so important to never forget, and sharing people’s stories of love, courage, perseverance and even heartbreak, helps everyone remember that together we’re strong.

Visit the official website for more information about this film.

9/11 opens in theaters on September 8 and features an all star cast including Luis Guzman (The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3), Gina Gershon (Showgirls), Wood Harris (Justified), Jacqueline Bisset (Dancing on the Edge (BBC), Welcome to New York), Olga Fonda (The Vampire Diaries) and Bruce Davison (X-Men).

In the World Trade Center, a billionaire sits in his attorney’s office awaiting a divorce hearing against his wife. In a west side apartment, a bike messenger kisses his 5-year old daughter and sings her “Happy Birthday” before leaving for work. A maintenance man gets dispatched to help a tenant with his lock. In an upper east side apartment, a young model musters the courage to break up with her sugar daddy. As random as random can be, these individuals step into a crowded World Trade Center elevator.

Wrapped up in their own world, they all ride silently hearing only the sound of the elevator giving notice of each floor. When the elevator stops on the 34th floor, it empties leaving only these five behind. Moments later … their world changes as the collision of a jet into the North Tower incapacitates the elevator.

With no understanding of what has happened and is happening around them, these fives are forced to band together and fight against all odds to escape from the impending horrific collapse. During these critical minutes, a story of courage, faith, and the will to live unfolds.

Now you have a chance to win a prize pack!

The Prize Pack Contains:

1 – 9/11 poster Hand Signed Autographed by star Charlie Sheen
1 – “Hope” Pendant with necklace

10 must watch movies to get in the Fall mood

Have you heard about Hygge? Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word to describe a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life. For me those are cooler weather, warm cinnamony drinks, fluffy blankets and  freshly baked cookies. Nothing is better and more comforting to me than Fall. Maybe it’s a Texas thing, when you live through 100+ degree weather you embrace cooler seasons and don’t let go. So how to I hygge? I combine one or more of the above with the epitome of comfort: watching movies on the couch. So without further ado here’s my list of movies to get into full Hygge bliss, in no particular order and the sweetest part is that they’re all available on Netflix DVD.

Good will hunting: When professors at MIT discover that an aimless young janitor working at the university is also a mathematical genius, a therapist helps the young man confront the demons that are holding him back.

Benjamin ButtonA man who was born old and wrinkled but grows younger as the years go by — with a screenplay adapted from a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Legends of the Fall: Yes, two Brad Pitt movies in one list, don’t judge me! The Ludlow clan — father William and brothers Alfred, Tristan and Samuel — splinters when Sam goes off to fight in World War I against his father’s wishes. To protect Sam, his siblings follow suit, but tragedy ensues when their efforts fall short.

Stepmom:Ain’t no mountain high enough… ” This is one of those ugly cry movies so make sure you have tissues handy. Divorcée Jackie Harrison opposes the presence of her ex-husband’s new girlfriend — career-woman Isabel Kelly — in the lives of her two children. But the chasm between the two women disappears when Jackie is diagnosed with cancer.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone: I added the first one just in case you have been living under a rock and need to start watching them in other. But any Harry Potter movies will do. On his 11th birthday, orphaned Harry Potter learns he’s a powerful wizard — with a place waiting for him at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As he learns to harness his newfound powers, he uncovers the truth about his parents’ deaths.

American Beauty: Suburban fall, windy days with plastic bags dancing around. I love this Kevin Spacey film. While struggling to endure his tightly wound wife, an unfulfilling job and a sullen teenage daughter, suburbanite Lester Burnham falls deep into a midlife crisis and becomes infatuated with one of his daughter’s friends.

Practical Magic: I love magical movies and I think this one is right on that sweet spot where it’s not really scary enough for Halloween but just perfect for fall. Sisters Sally and Gillian Owens are modern-day witches whose love lives are complicated by an unusual curse: Men who fall in love with them meet untimely ends. But against the advice of their eccentric aunts, the sisters continue to seek romance.

You’ve got mail: In this valentine to modern romance, book superstore magnate Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and independent book shop owner Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet — both blissfully unaware that he’s trying to put her out of business. Director Nora Ephron’s Golden Globe-nominated romantic comedy puts romance on the ropes — and forces two people to make tough decisions about life, love and livelihood.

Edward Scissorhands: Dark, spooky and with Johnny Deep, do I need to say more? An inventor dies before developing hands for his creation, a boy named Edward who instead has scissors at the end of each arm. Edward lives a monastic existence until an Avon lady adopts him and takes him to live in the pastel paradise of suburbia.

Hope you guys enjoy the list! If I didn’t mention your favorite please let me know on the comments below. Make sure you check out these and all the amazing titles available on Netflix DVD

STAR WARS Fans Invited to “Find the Force” As Unprecedented Augmented Reality Event Sweeps the Globe for Force Friday II!!!

Following the global phenomenon of Force Friday in 2015, Disney and Lucasfilm today announced Find the Force, a global augmented reality (AR) event rolling out on Force Friday II (September 1) to commemorate the worldwide launch of new products inspired by STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.

From September 1-3, retailers around the world will invite fans to Find the Force by taking part in an AR treasure hunt. Here’s how it works: first, download the Star Wars App, which is your one-stop-shop for all things Star Wars (those who already have the app will need to download the latest version). Then, visit any one of 20,000 participating retail locations to find a graphic that contains the Find the Force logo. Click here for more information: www.starwars.com/findtheforce.

“Force Friday II puts fans right at the center of the action using augmented reality to bring our characters to life like never before. The technology theme continues in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi product line, which is our most innovative yet – we can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store.” said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.

Fans can download the latest version of the Star Wars App (v. 2.3 or higher) beginning Aug. 24 for an early look at the new Porg characters in AR before the AR treasure hunt goes live at retail. By sharing photos or videos featuring the in-store AR characters on Twitter or Instagram using #FindtheForce and #Sweepstakes throughout Force Friday II weekend, fans in select global markets can participate in a sweepstakes for the chance to win the ultimate fan experience: tickets to the Star Wars: The Last Jedipremiere in December.
